Bio: Ken Abotsi is a GIZ Technical Advisor on Peace & Security, providing advisory services to the SADC Secretariat's Organ on Politics , Defence and Security Cooperation and the SADC Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre (RPTC) in Harare. Before then, he was a GIZ Senior Advisor at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Ghana. He is an M & E ,training development and election expert. He has served on ECOWAS and African Union Election and Commonwealth Observer missions and also chaired the Election Working Group of the GIZ Sector Network for Good Governance in Sub-Saharan Africa.Ken is an alumnus of Bishop Herman College, Jasikan College of Education and the University of Ghana. He has also taken various career-oriented short courses at the Ghana Institute of Journalism(GIJ), Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), The Evaluation Institute of the George Washington University in Washington and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He has previously worked for the West African Civil Society Forum in Nigeria, The Institute of Economic Affairs (Ghana), the Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana(PFAG) and the Integrated Social Development Centre(ISODEC) also in Ghana.He is married to Emefa and is blessed with 3 girls. In his spare time, he listens to music, writes and loves to keep fit. He also loves photography.
